going to YSS Ranchi Ashram soon

That day I opened WhatsApp app and noticed her message.

It’s the second message she sent me in a span of 10 days, ever since she shifted to north india.

When I checked the new message, “Beautiful,” that’s what came out of my mouth.

She had sent two beautiful pictures of her location

“So beautiful, Mam. Just by looking at these pictures, it feels fresh,” I replied.

She is a senior citizen and a very old devotee of Guruji.

When she was in Mumbai, I tried to stay in touch with her. I texted her a couple of times.

Being a shy, introverted person like me, it takes some effort to come out and text/talk to someone.

I tried to initiate communication by texting her a few times, but noticing her response, I stopped texting her.

As she was leaving Mumbai, I hugged her, touched her feet, and wished her a safe journey.

And now here she is, sharing pictures and inspirational stories with me on whatsapp.

This is not the first time. In the past, many times people ignored me, and then they come back.

And I wonder what made them come back to me.

They must have sensed my love.

People always respond to love, even if not immediately, but later.

If not from the same person or place, then from someone else.

Soon I will be flying to Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.

It was in Ranchi, in 1917, that Guruji, Shri Paramahansa Yogananda began his life’s work with the founding of an ashram and a “How-to-Live” school for boys, and to make available the universal teachings of Kriya Yoga.

I’ll stay there for a nice 7 days. Most of the time, I’ll meditate.

Also will be applying for the Kriya Yoga initiation, if it happens while I am in Ranchi then that will be blessing.

Once again, it wasn’t something I planned. Let me tell you what happened.

My family will be out of Mumbai for 7 days. So, I thought to myself, “What should I do?”

Ranchi?

I called the Ranchi center and did enquiry. They checked dates and accommodation. In one day, my stay got approved.

I shared this good news with some of senior devotees of Guruji.. I texted her too

“thank you so much Arati for sharing. During your visit try and catch Guruji’s vibrations as much as possible” her reply came on the same day..rather immediately “Yes Mam” i replied.

I still have a desire to travel, see beautiful places, go for long rides, and spend time with family and friends.

However, I also sense,.. steadily and consistently spiritual desires are replacing these desires, step by step.

I am trying not to come in between and become a resistance.

My Guru, Mahagurus, and God know best. They see a bigger picture which I cannot see.

Life presents opportunities for wealth creation that are exciting and, in many cases, life-changing.

wealth can be LIFE-CHANGING.

What does this mean?

Quite simply, if you make a lot of money, you can change your life many ways:

– new car

– buy a house

– retire your parents

– go on a vacation, etc etc..

One of the most CRUCIAL parts of successful wealth creation, is understanding that past a certain point…the money doesn’t scale to the impact it will have on your life.

To make it very clear:

Your second core will change your life INFINITELY LESS than your first.

Many people will make enough money to legitimately change their life forever ( new house completely paid, college fund started for kids, etc.) and then they will RISK IT ALL to double their money.

What I’m trying to say is very simple:

If you make enough money to change your life, make sure you actually change it.

Do not risk an amount of money/time that can change your life forever, just so that you can then make your life a *little bit* better.

My one ask for anybody that reads this: Find your number.

Find the number that will change your life.

Do NOT make this some random number.

Write down the things that you need to change your life (car, house, vacation, etc.) and then make that number your goal.

If you don’t have a number, you will never stop.

If you make enough money to change your life, make sure you actually change it.

One core is a lot of money until you have it in your bank and realize its all just numbers then you aim for 5 core and realize 5 core aint gonna change anything, so you aim for 10.

At 10 core you’re gonna surround yourself with people who have 50 core and realize comparison doesn’t end with any amount of money, so you aim for 100 core then at 100 core you start to buy yachts and only fly business class.

And then put yourself in positions where you only meet people with the same (or more) amount of money, realizing the life you are living is exactly the same, just different numbers. comparison, competition, ambition, greed and becoming something will always go on.

People aim for a number and then think all our problems will be solved, but the reality of that illusion is that the conflict within oneself will get sustained that way.
So people gonna end up exactly as miserable as they are now, just with more money.

now the real question is… what is freedom?

if people think its having that money is freedom, they are wrong.

“the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved, is what freedom is”

aren’t people enslaved to desires, ambition, greed and competition

There is no limit to materialistic desires, and their satisfaction is temporary.

However, the blissfulness experienced in meditation…the satisfaction is long-lasting. I have experienced this.

Money is not bad but it may enhance our life in this lifetime only…

however if we keep on go up in the spiritual hierarchy  that way we can enhance our life beyond this life.

It’s Sunday in Mumbai, and as I write this article, I just had a call with her.

During our conversation, she suggested a few things for my trip to Ranchi:

  • Meeting monks
  • Meditating in Guruji’s room to absorb his vibrations
  • Talking to people there

She also kindly invited me to visit her place, which is another 6 hours away from Ranchi. However, I politely declined as my return flight is already booked.

I think thats all for  today.

Its a sunny day in Mumbai.

I wish you a wonderful weekend.

Stay Blessed. Stay Happy always

Much love,

Arati
