a beautiful dream of mine

Do you know the story of that businessman?

You dont know?

Okay let me tell you..

Once a billionaire was on vacation on an island.

He wanted to cross over to another island so he went out looking for a boat.

He saw a fisherman’s boat. The fisherman was lying in the boat with his hat covering his face. The billionaire while waiting for luxury boats chose to strike up a conversation.

He asked the fisherman that why he isn’t out fishing at this time of the day.

The fisherman replied he had already caught enough fish for the day. The rich man was surprised and a little bit angry.

“It’s still early afternoon and you can still catch a lot of fish”, said the billionaire.

“What will I do with that fish”, replied the fisherman without taking off the hat from his face.

Even more, surprised the rich man told him that the more fish he catches the more profit he can earn.

“What will I do with all that money”, once again the fisherman replied with the same calmness and lack of interest.

“If you keep on earning money then one day you will have many boats like this”, explained the rich man.

“What will I do with all the boats”. The rich man was now getting angry with the fisherman’s lack of interest in the business lecture.

“Well you could rest peacefully” said the billionaire with a hint of mockery in his voice.

“What do you think I am doing now?” Replied the fisherman without taking the hat off his face and lack of any emotions in his voice.

If life’s ultimate goal is to return to simplicity, why is simple living often underrated?

One reason could be that people are naturally drawn to complexity and easily get bored with simplicity.
Nowadays, companies market their products as ‘organic’ and sell them at higher prices,

and yes there are people who are ready to buy organic products at high cost.

Which means people understand importance of simplicity/ purity but it just that they fail to become OR I would say does not take efforts to remain pure/simple themself.

Brands create a need in the society first. They bombard people with a thought that if people dont buy their product then they will suffer.

For instance, they promote complex skincare routines and trendy diets.

Many people fall for this, resulting in a never-ending cycle of earning more to sustain their lifestyle….rat race ahead.

A lot of construction is happening in Mumbai, and sometimes I feel like I’m stuck in this big city.

Because of long traffic jams, people avoid going out of the city on weekends.

So options remain visit malls or do more shopping, eat more as a form of recreation.

Since people can’t spend time in nature ..stress, tension, and emotions run high for everyone. Group – collective effect.

After finishing my college days, I hardly asked for money from anyone. There was a time when, due to my own poor decisions, I faced financial difficulties.

I learned that when these difficulties arise, they affect a person’s ability to think clearly.

Stress and tension make it hard to think properly.

Now, I want to help people going through similar challenges.

If I take away someone’s financial difficulties, then how would they behave or think?

Will they resume their ability to create good thoughts or become more greedy?

Having a lot of money can also affect someone’s mindset.

A good and easy way to stay grounded is to spend time in nature and see how small we are compared to God’s beautiful creation.

Without access to nature, stress levels can rise, contributing to overall emotional strain.
I wish to move out of this city.
I dream of living in a beautiful home surrounded by mountains, trees, a river, and an ocean. It’s a place where I can see sunrise and sunset every day. The house is filled with divine white light, and I spend most of my time there meditating , thinking of god and serving others.

I want to share my knowledge of yoga and meditation with others for free. After each class, I’ll gift them our beloved guru’s book, ‘Autobiography of a Yogi‘, hoping it will change their life as it has changed mine.

However I wont share or teach Guruji’s Kriya Yoga technique. To learn it, one must apply through the proper channels here.

I am loyal to my Guruji, and I will never break the vow I made to him, promising not to teach his techniques to anyone.

It seems like this year I might be able to start offering free yoga/meditation sessions.  Some of of this dream will become reality. All god’s, guru and maha guru’s blessings.

I need to start planning for it.

When I first time earned money, I remembered telling cousin sister, “I earn money because I can live a happy life, have fun.” That was my reason behind earning money at that time.

A very innocent girl freshly completed her education and earned her first paycheck.

And now when I ask myself, what I am going to do with the money I am earning.

The immediate reply comes, serve others, donate to people/organazation who are serving others.

And on top of everything do whatever I could to grow YSS, our beloved guruji’s work. My loyalty is towards my Guruji.

Tomorrow, I’ll meet a friend after a long time. We were discussing what to do.

“Do you still watch movies?” he asked.

“What kind of question is that?” I thought.

Actually, it’s not his fault. Many friends have noticed changes in me. They follow Yogarati on social media, some read these weekend articles.

For me, my relationship with my guru and God is the most important.

And whatever changes are happening in my life due to this relationship, I welcome them with open arms.

I like simple people.

Sometimes I miss the company of my close friends. I had four very close friends: Shruti, Riyan, Om, and Suraj (names are changed 🙂 ).

I could truly be myself with them, completely free. Shruti moved to another city and got busy with her life.

Riyan is no longer in contact.

Om is out of country, and we hardly talk. And Suraj… I’ll be meeting him after many years.

These are four people who have digested the silliest jokes of mine.

We laughed so much together because of my silliness.

I used to love making them laugh and seeing them smile.

After some time, they also started sharing same level jokes with me, and I was like,

“Oh no, what have I done. Now it’s my turn to increase my digestion power.” Haha, karma returns.

With some people, our relationship is like that… even after so many years of a gap, we feel the same bond with them.

And our relationship with God is the same, isn’t it? People forget him, blame him… and come back to him when in need… and God… he still smiles and showers only love upon them. He waits for us to come back to him.

This wait can be of some days, months, years, or many lives. He keeps waiting for the reunion.

People who understand the importance of this reunion, they make efforts and go into samadhi. Society calls them Saints/Avatars.

However, do not give your excuse that we are just normal persons.

If not for samadhi, then how about just for peace, a taste of pure love, a touch of childlike innocence… would you make efforts?

Meditation is a great way to taste God’s divine love.

If any of you have a habit/tendency/problem of sleeping in meditation, then do not let that tendency continue, because then it will become a habit.

You may feel sleepy due to fatigue. Do not misunderstand sleep for deep meditation.

Every day, people try new food dishes, visit new places, wear different costumes, and experiment with things. But why do they hesitate to contact god in meditation?

But you…

Will you please give meditation a try? Will you?

Do you know it doesn’t cost you money? It just takes a few minutes of your day—just 15 minutes, that’s all I’m asking.

Will you do it?

I asked him Suraj, let’s go for a bike ride, but he sold his bike. I dont take pillions. Now what?

I remind myself to be formal while creating any content, but I cannot.

So please accept me as I am.

Today, after more than a year, I am going to cut my hair.

I am from a very strict joint family, and until 7th standard, I had short hair because it was very easy for my aunts/mother to maintain it.

I remember in school days, I used to request them to let me keep my hair long… but no luck.

It’s Saturday in India, and the time is 2.03 PM.

Time to go for a haircut and wish you a wonderful weekend.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Stay bless. Stay Happy always.

Much Love,

Arati
